Is Video Game Violence Treated Unfairly in the USA?

With so many arguments about video game violence and sexuality circling around society, I find myself in the middle of an unbalanced and unconstitutional debate.

Video games have always been the subject of much controversy.  Are they too violent?  Perhaps some of them are…but this new law now being considered by the Supreme Court itself doesn’t stop at video games.  It goes on to movies, music and books.  These mediums have all previously been protected under the 1st Amendment but if the Supreme Court decides to unconstitutionally remove that protection from video games, they can also remove it from the others.

My guess is that the first book to go would be 1984 by George Orwell.  After all, the U.S. Supreme Court would, of course, be quite threatened by a book that describes exactly where our country has been headed.

For more information on the details of the law, I’d like to provide you with a video from G4’s Attack of the Show:

– Paul Scott

P.S.  I’d love to hear where you stand on video game violence!
